Argento’s entry-level Cab almost made this list too (36 Under 18, 2018), but it’s worth paying a few dollars more for this approachable Reserva that has been evolving with age. Deep purple, with cassis, smoke and plums on the nose, and a palate of mixed berries and herbs. There’s a balance and complexity that defies the price. You’ll see Argento on a lot of restaurant menus, and for good reason.
