What the Experts say: This is how Chilean carmenere should be. Unashamedly herbal with its dark pepper and blackberry-leaf undertones, but ripe at the same time, sporting black-olive and brambleberry character. Shows real structure and concentration on the palate, chewy tannins enveloping dark-fruit flavors that permeate through the medium-long finish. Score – 93.
What do I think: My first Carmenere in a while and I immediately asked myself – Why don’t I drink more of this?! So I did, as you will see. Fresh, full bodied and enthusiastic from the nose through to the finish. Loved it and very reasonably priced.
