Developed by famous golf course designer Pete Dye with the help of golf legend, Jack Nicklaus, the course is celebrated for its creativity and remains a favorite among PGA Tour players. In a little town called Little Rock sits one of the South Carolina’s most popular golf destinations, Glen Dornoch Waterway Golf Links. From the beautiful live oaks and marshlands to scenic views of the Intracoastal Waterway, every hole is a sight to see. But with each beautiful view comes a challenging hole that will put your golf game to the test. 3. Caledonia Golf and Fish Club, Pawleys Island
Found along the southern Grand Strand on Pawleys Island is Caledonia Fish and Golf Club, a course that has been globally recognized on several occasions including being ranked among America’s 100 Best Modern Courses by Golfweek magazine. The course sits atop a historic indigo and rice plantation, and was designed to preserve and highlight the lands already natural beauty. From the Champion Bermuda greens to the coastal forest scenery, it should come as no surprise why Caledonia is one of the most popular courses in the Palmetto State. The course was named “Myrtle Beach’s Top Course” by Sports Illustrated in 2003 and one of “America’s Top-100 Greatest Public Courses” by Golf Digest in 2010.
