Rochester and the adjoining Finger Lakes feature many semiprivate/public golf courses. Including, Ravenwood Golf Club, Deerfield Country Club, Mill Creek, Blue Heron Hills, Eagle Vale and The Links at Greystone. One of the oldest Rochester public courses is at Durand-Eastman Park, which opened its first nine holes in 1917 and added another nine in 1934. Churchville Park offers one 18-hole course and one 9-hole course, while Genesee Valley Park boasts two 18-hole courses. All three parks provide a clubhouse, pro shop and food concession area and all feature naturally beautiful settings.

Rochester will enjoy golf’s spotlight again this year, when one of the game’s major events, the KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship, returns to the storied East Course of Oak Hill Country Club from May 21-26.
Daily grounds tickets to the 80th KitchenAid Senior PGA Championship range from $25 to $45 USD. Tickets are available for purchase at srpga.com. Juniors 17 years of age and younger will be admitted into the Championship grounds for FREE when accompanied by a ticketed adult.
In 2023, the PGA Championship will be contested at Oak Hill for the fourth time. Oak Hill is the only club in the United States to have hosted all six of the men’s major championships that move around the country, including the U.S. Open, Amateur and Senior Open, and the Ryder Cup.
