What the Experts say: From the Las Vertientes Vineyard, planted among the hills in the Aconcagua Valley in 1999. This wine comes from the first vineyards; it spent a year in barrels, 20% new, and the result is a warm and friendly wine with a lot of black fruit and spices in a red with body shaped by severe tannins and sharp acidity. Leave it in the cellar for a couple years, and then open it with roast chicken with mustard. Score – 93
What do I think: Found this lone bottle at my LCBO after trying the Carmenere from the same family name and so glad I did. Medium to full bodied, flavorful and smooth to the finish. Big bang for the buck.
